Scholarship Application Checklist

Please review carefully before submitting your application.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.

One complete packet is required per applicant.

General Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following:

18 years or older: Filipino Community, Inc. membership dues paid
Under 18 years old: Parent or legal guardian’s FCI membership dues paid

Initial College Scholarship

Applicants must submit:

Completed and signed application
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Official high school transcript
Proof of attendance for six (6) General Membership meetings, or
six (6) two-hour Damayan service sessions, or a combination totaling six
- Immediate family members who are active FCI members may attend or complete Damayan on behalf of the applicant
Letter of acceptance to an accredited U.S. college or university
- Must be submitted by August 1 prior to check disbursement

Books & Transportation Allowance

Applicants must submit:

Completed and signed application
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Official transcript for the full academic year
Official registration for the upcoming term
Proof of six (6) General Membership meetings or Damayan service
- Combination allowed
- Immediate family participation permitted

Student Athlete Award

Applicants must submit:

Completed and signed application
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Most recent school report card
Certification letter from school administration verifying participation in one or more school-sponsored sports
- Includes dance and cheerleading
Proof of six (6) General Membership meetings or Damayan service
- Combination allowed
- Immediate family participation permitted

Savings Incentive Award

Applicants must submit:

Completed and signed application
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Most recent school report card
Proof of six (6) General Membership meetings or Damayan service
- Combination allowed
- Immediate family participation permitted

Vocational Training Incentive

Applicants must submit:

Completed and signed application
Certificate of completion for the training course
Copies of tuition payment receipts

Cultural Dance Incentive

Applicants must submit:

Completed and signed application
Proof of participation in a Filipino Community cultural dance performance

Requirements must be met within the current scholarship year (July–June)
